Day 1: South Valley Tour in Cusco

We will pick you up 30 minutes before the start of the South Valley Cusco Tour, from your respective hotels to drive you to the southeast of the city of Cusco, to then visit attractions such as: Tipon, with 12 impressive terraces of fertile soil and a water source, which together constitute a masterpiece of hydraulic engineering. Pikillaqta, satellite city of the Wari Culture, has a very harmonious geometric design; Andahuaylillas, considered as the “Sistine Chapel” of the Americas, for the quality of the works of art that are found in its interior.

Visit:

• The Archaeological Centre of Tipon. Located 27 km from the city of Cusco, in the district of Oropesa. Considered, according to many scholars, an Inca temple to the water. Since it houses one of the largest irrigation works and a complex system of terraces.
• The Pre-Inca city of Pikillacta. Located in the district of Lucre, next to the wetlands of Huacarpay. It is one of the best known and best preserved pre-Inca cities of the Wari culture.
• The chapel of San Pedro Apostle of Andahuaylillas. One of the most beautiful colonial temples in America, better known as the Sistine Chapel of America. It houses the best of the colonial art of the Cusquenian School.
