The Ausangate Circuit 5 Days 4 Nights

THE AUSANGATE MOUNTAIN:

The Ausangate snow-peak is found 100 kilometres south east of the Cusco region in the Cordillera Vilcanota, forming part of the Peruvian Andes at an elevation of 6,384m. This majestic mountain is inhabited by llama and Alpaca farmers, native to the region who form one of the few remaining high altitude farming societies remaining in the world today. offers us one of the most important and fascinating high altitude treks in the region of Cusco. The trek offers its visitors spectacular mountain scenery and natural beauty, combined with a geography of many contrasts with many glaciers, and colourful blue lagoons, as well as its picturesque valleys. Here live a wide variety of flora and fauna along the way including chinchillas, vicuñas, Andean foxes and the magnificent Andean condor, amongst other species. The perfect scenery and the spectacular starry night skies with the milky way in all its splendour and finally the famous rainbow mountain and its colourful display, called Vinicunca.
